A Classic Wedding at Chicago Cultural Center in Chicago, Illinois
Elise Spadavecchio (28 and in public relations) and Michael Burdeen (28 and in asset management) pulled off a modern wedding that took them all over Chicago, Illinois—starting with a first look at the iconic Flamingo sculpture. Elise and Michael said “I do” at the Old St. Patrick’s Church, the same church were Elise grew up, where they combined Catholic and Jewish traditions in their interfaith ceremony. Then Elise and Michael hopped on a trolley with their friends for a quick tour of Chicago, which led them to the Chicago Cultural Center for their reception. (Aside from the historical and cultural significance of this venue’s golden ballroom, Elise and Michael agreed: It’s gorgeous!) SQN Events helped them pull off the details of their day and create the vibe they envisioned, including a bourbon bar and Southern food station (we’re talking chicken and waffles, pickled vegetables, sweet tea, and more). A memorable moment? Elise’s dad and his band took the stage and rocked out! See the details, artfully captured by Olivia Leigh Photographie, below.
