A Classic, Luxe Wedding at the Flagler Museum in Palm Beach, Florida

“I always envisioned my wedding done in white and gold,” Evanne Kastrenakes (24 and a blogger) says of taking a timeless approach to her nuptials alongside Gordon Lucas (25 and an entrepreneur). The couple—who were first introduced by the groom’s sister—wed in a Greek Orthodox church surrounded by 250 guests. “The whole weekend felt like a party,” Evanne says of following up their traditional crowning ceremony with an ultra-luxe reception at the Flagler Museum in Palm Beach. Drawing inspiration from her own parents’ nuptials, Evanne carried a cascading arrangement of roses, ranunculus, peonies and ruscus reminiscent of her mother’s bridal bouquet. Prior to the start of the ceremony, violinists were positioned just beyond the church doors—a detail Evanne calls “magical.” Her sleeved gown featured a plunging neckline and subtle pearl edging. Compact garlands with classic hydrangeas mirrored the look of rosette table linens. Festive Greek music played throughout the night as guests dined and danced atop a white marble floor emblazoned with the couple’s custom monogram. “We knew we had to leave by midnight, so we hired a Junkanoo band from the Bahamas to help guests dance their way to the trolleys outside,” Evanne says.
