A Classic Mansion Wedding at The Manor House in Littleton, Colorado
Monica Delehant (25 and a first grade teacher) and Marcus Ver Meer (25 and a mechanical engineer) met at Colorado State University. After dating for almost five years, Marcus proposed. Monica had planned to attend an engineering brunch with Marcus before his graduation ceremony. “Marcus said brunch was at this beautiful outdoor section of campus called the oval,” she says. “We arrived and Marcus told me to leave my jacket in the car and wear my heels. I thought the man was crazy. It was so cold, and I had to walk a long way. We began our walk across the oval towards the tent where brunch was going to be served. About halfway Marcus stopped and took my hand. He told me he loved me and got down on one knee. I was so surprised and of course said, ‘Yes!’ Brunch had been a set-up, but we did get to the spend the rest of our day with friends and family.” Monica and Marcus loved The Manor House for their classic wedding. “We both love Colorado and knew we wanted a venue that showed off it's natural beauty,” Monica says. “Our ceremony was outdoors with a view of Denver and Red Rocks through the mountains. It was on the top of a hill and had a gorgeous view. It was a perfect fit for what we were looking for, and they did a great job keeping everything running smoothly. It was a classy but relaxed atmosphere.”
