Already sharing a mutual love for art, Dongli Zhang (25 and a software engineer) and Chengyuan Ma (27 and an accountant) had their classic wedding at Legion of Honor—a museum filled with ancient and European art—located in San Francisco, California. The couple was captivated by the architectural design of the museum and had their ceremony outside on the lawn, which needed little additional decor, thanks to the gorgeous views of the Golden Gate Bridge, captured on camera by IQphoto Studio. Purple in a range of shades was the choice of color for the day, accenting everything from the bridesmaid bouquets to the groomsmen bow ties and the linens that decorated tables at the cocktail hour and reception. Dongli wore a stunning white wedding dress with a mermaid-style silhouette designed by Melissa Sweet, with high illusion neckline and lace trimming at the bottom of the skirt. A short, simple tulle veil with matching trim was worn over her updo hairstyle, pinned on the side with a beaded flower clip. The reception took place inside the museum, where dining tables were set with glass dinnerware beaded around the rim and purple napkins in pearl holders, in addition to the purple and white menu cards displaying the meal for the evening. Of all the classic elements that added elegance to the day, our favorite was the overflowing purple bridal bouquet filled with roses and veronica that matched Dongli's elegant look.
