A Classic New Year's Eve Wedding at The Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort and Golf Club in St. Petersburg, Florida

Everything about Gina Colagioia (33 and in banking) and Adam Leggett’s (25 and a software engineer) New Year’s Eve wedding was classic with a fun twist -- from the bows on Gina’s ivory ball gown to their flower girl’s ivory dress and pink Converse shoes. “We focused on the themes of fireworks and confetti,” says Gina. Molly Park Photography was there to document the day as it started with a simple outdoor ceremony in front of The Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort and Golf Club’s fountain and ended in a fireworks display. With minimal ceremony decor, Gina and Adam’s pink garden rose and white lisianthus arrangements added a pop of color to the day and complemented their pink venue. “I didn't have a lot of opinions on flowers, so I just asked our florist to do something fun and integrate some kind of sparkle,” says Gina. “Terry at Carter's Florist did an amazing job. He knew exactly what I was talking about.” Gina's bouquet was even surrounded with curled gold foil. One subtle detail that added to her classic look, and the day, was a trail of ivory bows that cascaded down her Vera Wang ball gown. After purchasing 10 wedding dresses during their yearlong engagement, the team at David's Bridal helped Gina find her perfect dress just three weeks before the wedding. For future couples, Gina shares a tip: “I know one thing for sure. Even if you feel like this is the most important day of your life, make sure your marriage (day-to-day and big picture) is still the most important thing to you. At the end of the day, you'll go home with your partner and that's when the really important stuff happens.”
