A Classic, Outdoor Wedding at Rancho Valencia in Rancho Santa Fe, California
Pops of bright colors combined with the outdoor landscape at Rancho Valencia in Rancho Santa Fe, California, set the scene for this classic wedding. "I wanted bright-colored flowers mixed in with ivory and green accents," Kristina Andersen (35 and in sports public relations, marketing and events) says of her marriage to Jamahl Mosley (35 and an assistant basketball coach for the Dallas Mavericks). "Rancho Valencia is such a beautiful venue, and having the wedding outside made it easy to incorporate those colors." All the paper goods made with ivory stationery resembled one another, with accents of either hot pink and black—from the wedding invitations to the table numbers and ceremony programs. While Kristina had a classic ivory rose bridal bouquet, her bridesmaids and flower girls held vibrant flower bouquets filled with pink, orange, purple and white blooms. Guests sat at wooden dining tables draped in ivory runners and decorated with trimmed topiaries and round colorful flower centerpieces. We especially loved the nontraditional mini champagne bottle favors given to guests before the ceremony. "Champagne is one of my favorite drinks, and I thought it would be a nice way to have a favor as people arrived instead of as they left," Kristina says.
