A Classic Purple Wedding at The Bauer in Kansas City, Missouri
Shannon Miller (25 and an Autism program facilitator and counseling intern) and Trevor Tobaben (29 and a utility locator) met through Shannon’s stepbrother. Trevor proposed on their three-year anniversary. For their wedding the couple chose The Bauer for its vintage feel and gorgeous downtown Kansas City backdrop. They had their wedding in the evening so guests could enjoy the lit-up views. Inspired by the rustic, vintage-looking venue, they chose antique shades of purple, gray and ivory for their color palette. They worked with Craig Sole Designs to create lush, wildflower-inspired floral arrangements including the blue nigella boutonnieres. Since they both love brewing and tasting different beers, they ensured there was great beer at the reception. The night ended with with some alternative, hip-hop music from DJ Marc O'Leary and a grand exit in a vintage Rolls Royce.
