A mint green and heather gray palette accented with blush and gold set the soft, romantic tone that Bridget Blaylock (21 and a college student) and Eric Klingenberg (20 and a college student) envisioned for their classic wedding. The lovely color combination showed within the wedding party's look: the mint ties, the knee-length bridesmaid dresses, the pink carnation and baby's breath bouquets that matched the single blush carnation and baby's breath boutonnieres. Bridget and Eric had their traditional ceremony inside the Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where white ribbon tied into bows decorated the ends of wooden pews. The reception at Golden Glow Ballroom in Saginaw, Michigan, lived up to its name with scattered candles lighting the entire space, creating a romantic glow for the evening's festivities. Guests sat at their tables marked with sparkling gold table numbers and took home mint favors with white and gray zigzag wrapping with tags that read "Mint to Be," tying back in with the day's palette. There's nothing like ending a classic occasion with a classic cake—a lovely two-tier white wedding cake with pink carnations decorating the base, to be specific. "My advice to brides is that there are many things you can do yourself to save you money, but also to not get lost in the little details," Bridget says. "The important part of the wedding is that you're marrying your best friend."

Silver and Gold Wedding Rings
"The dress I found hugged by curves, but kept me looking classy," Bridget says. "It had a beautiful train that swept along behind me. My dress had no beading or decoration on it, which allowed the gorgeous heavy ivory satin it was made out of to shine."
Woven into Bridget's updo hairstyle was an elegant floral headband, which had a beaded crystal pattern throughout.
Bridget shared a happy moment with her bridesmaids, who stood around her wearing mint green dresses in a variety of styles.
The bridal bouquet vividly stood out from the pink bridesmaid bouquets. Bridget's bouquet had purely white blooms: ivory hydrangeas accented with baby's breath.
Black Vest and Pants Combination
Eric had a single pink carnation mixed with baby's breath as his boutonniere, pinned to his black vest that had a mint green pocket square tucked in. He wore a blue paisley-patterned tie over his white collared dress shirt, while his groomsmen wore mint ties.
The bridesmaids held bouquets filled with pink carnations and baby's breath, with white cloth wrapped around the stems. They added a pop of soft color to the already soft mint bridesmaid dresses.
Gold Glamorous Table Number
Mint wedding favors wrapped with gray and white zigzag designs followed the color scheme of the wedding perfectly, with a mint green napkin backdrop! The tags attached to the favors read "Mint to Be" along with Bridget's and Eric's names.
The simple, classic white wedding cake reflected the day's classic theme. The two-tier red velvet cake had buttercream frosting covering its surface, with pink carnations lining the bottom of the gold stand.
"Since I had no beading on the dress, I had a veil with a thick flower trim and a gem headpiece that gave me my sparkle," Bridget says. "I made the veil myself, since I love to sew and it was important to me that it draped over my face as I walked down the aisle."
