A Classic, Romantic Wedding at The Cascades Country Club in Tyler, Texas
Classic, romantic weddings can be personal too: Anna Carswell (23 and a social-media manager) and Hunter Sullivan (23 and a banker) made sure their wedding day truly reflected who they are as a couple. “Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed about getting married at my home church, First Baptist Church South Campus in Tyler, Texas,” says the bride. To fit the classic style, Anna wanted to wear a lace wedding dress: Once she tried on the strapless lace mermaid gown by Enzoani, she and her mother teared up—it was the one! Teaming up with her mom, the bride DIY-ed some of her favorite wedding details at The Cascades Country Club reception, including a wooden monogram covered in moss, the ceremony programs, sparkler tags, favor-bag stickers and even a monogram of Anna’s new initials on the lining of her wedding dress. One of the most special details arrived in the form of the reception dinner. According to Anna, “Every Valentine’s Day that Hunter and I spent together during our dating life, we would make our favorite meal: breakfast for dinner. When it was time to decide on the menu for our reception, it only made sense to serve that to our guests! It was definitely not the most traditional wedding meal, but it was a fun way to share a part of us and our relationship with our family and friends!” See the romantic moments captured by Lauren Ashley Photography below.
