A Classic, Rustic Mountain Wedding at The Little Nell in Aspen, Colorado
Jennie McIlvaine (34 and a physical therapist) and Rick Corbett (31 and works in real estate) wanted their wedding to be uniquely them with a natural, outdoorsy feel. Inspired by Aspen, Colorado, they used aspen leaves and wood in everything from the centerpieces to the place settings to the stationery to adorning the alter. In true mountain spirit, guests rode the ski gondola up to the ceremony and reception and then back into down afterwards. Since The Little Nell was so high on the mountaintop, Jennie and Rick had an oxygen bar with four stations of different oxygen aromas from The Oxygen Company in Denver! One of the best parts was the branch ball chandeliers that hung down the center of the room with white draping on either side. The Aspen Branch Studio created all the lush floral arrangements including curly willow branches for a organic wildflower look. Jennie and Rick used an ivory, coral and green color palette for a soft, romantic feel, and they worked with Ashley Nicole Events to bring the look of the day together. At the end of the night, the couple enjoyed a white fondant cake from Intricate Icings Cake Design complete with sugar leaves cascading down the front.
