A Classic, Rustic Wedding at Chateau Julien Wine Estate in Carmel, California

After two years of dating, Joanne Houck and Tim Singletary went to see a house they were thinking about purchasing together. As they were standing on the porch, Tim reached into his gym bag and revealed a wrapped box from Donoho’s Jewelers. “Are we going to do this?” Tim asked once she realized what it was, and Joanne responded with “Absolutely!” The couple had their traditional wedding ceremony at the Church of the Wayfarer in Carmel, California, with a simple white exterior that led into the ornate church. Joanne wore a strapless ivory wedding dress in a mermaid style with a lace overlay on the bodice. She held a lush bouquet of yellow astilbes, pink peonies and veronica tied with an ivory silk wrap. Tim donned a classic black tuxedo with a purple vest and silver tie, which corresponded with the overall color palette of the wedding. Bridesmaids were dressed in purple gowns covered by matching shawls, while the groomsmen sported light gray suits with purple ties. The rustic reception took place at Chateau Julien Wine Estate in Carmel, California, which was decked out in white drapery and string lights hanging from the ceiling. The round dining tables were dressed in white tablecloths and set with silver dinnerware. The ivory three-tier wedding cake was decorated with an abundance of fresh flowers and displayed on a classic silver stand.
