Sarah Booth (21 and a graduate student) and Ryan Heacock (22 and an engineer) met in the sixth grade. They started dating in high school, and three weeks later Ryan told her that he knew they would get married one day. "Instead of being horrified, I felt completely at ease," Sarah says. "We knew at that point that our relationship was extraordinary, and we have been together ever since." The couple didn't have a specific theme in mind for their long-awaited nuptials, and instead concentrated on honoring all the people and places that brought them together. "Since I immigrated to the United States from Scotland, we made sure to include my culture throughout our wedding day," Sarah says. "I wanted my family who had flown in from overseas to experience the beauty of Virginia in June. Ryan is a true Southern guy, so we made sure to incorporate that as well." Everything else evolved organically for Sarah and Ryan—as it always has. Elegant decor and nods to her Scottish heritage were woven throughout, while timeless shades of white and romantic pops of purple let the gorgeous grounds of Oak Ridge Estate & Farm in Arrington, Virginia, really stand out. —Meghan Overdeep
