Karlie Roberts (26 a nurse) and Tyler De Jong (27 and a doctor) held their classic summer wedding at the Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, California, a halfway point between the couple's hometowns. The ceremony was outdoors, underneath a beautiful pillar gazebo, and the reception took place inside the banquet hall overlooking the golf course. A color palette of coral and teal brought out the seasonal vibes of the couple's special day. Karlie enjoys creative projects, so she made a lot of the wedding decor by hand, including the banners and the chalkboard signs. "We really enjoyed planning our wedding! I loved making all the personal touches," Karlie says. The florist, Couture Flowers, was a family friend and arranged lovely, soft, romantic bouquets and centerpieces incorporating baby's breath, roses, lisianthus, and hydrangeas. The flower girls wore baby's breath flower crowns tied with a white ribbon in the back, adding a romantic feel to the classic style of the wedding theme.
Karlie carried an all-white bouquet of roses and lisianthus, designed and arranged by Couture Flowers.
Low arrangements of white hydrangeas and coral roses were designed by Couture Flowers and decorated the tables at the reception.
Karlie wore an ivory silk Lazaro mermaid dress with a sweetheart neckline. Floral embroidery covered the bodice, and a silk sash with a flower around the waist brought the whole look together.
The bridesmaids wore teal strapless chiffon Donna Morgan dresses, while the groomsmen wore black suits with white button-ups and teal ties.
White rose kissing balls were hung off the white folding ceremony chairs with a bright teal ribbon.
The couple exchanged vows outdoors, under a gorgeous column gazebo on Old Ranch Country Club's grounds.
Tall Baby's Breath Centerpieces
For dessert, everyone enjoyed a three-tier white cake with vanilla-cream cheese frosting. A candy bar was also available to guests for additional sweet treats.
Paper-Lantern Release Ceremony
Guests sent off the couple with a sparkler exit, and the couple left their wedding in style in a vintage white Oldsmobile.
