A Classic Vineyard Wedding at a Private Estate in Napa Valley, California

Family, laughter and faith are the guiding forces for Amy Imboden (29 and an assistant hospitality manager of a winery) and Stefano Particelli (26 and a store manager for his family’s business). The California couple held an elegant, classic wedding at a close friend’s breathtaking 25-acre estate in Napa Valley after a traditional Catholic ceremony. Amy and Stefano met as coworkers at a restaurant in Geyserville, she was a server and he was a sous chef, and it was love at first sight. “Stefano and I knew we wanted to get married in the Catholic church where he was baptized and grew up going to mass every week,” Amy says. They kept the reception palette neutral to let the lush foliage of the surrounding vineyards and grand oak trees stand out. The table settings were rustic yet sophisticated with white and cream linens and wooden chairs, while white hydrangeas, green hypericum and touches of purple liatris emphasized the natural color tones. The one element Amy went bold on? Vibrant fuchsia bridesmaid dresses to pop against her classic ivory dress and the summer greenery. To honor Stefano’s Italian roots, the reception dinner was served family-style, and guests were treated to a gelato bar for dessert. Stefano's family business, started in 1931, is the Napa Valley Olive Oil Company, so naturally guests received custom olive oil wedding favors (branded with the couple’s names and wedding date), and the four-tier, textured buttercream cake was adorned with olive branches. —Maggie Seaver
