Romantic peach and gray hues never go out of style, and that’s exactly how Kaitlynn Hodges (28 and a nurse) and Ty Hom (24 and a custom-home builder and designer) pulled off their classically romantic wedding. Their day unfolded in Waco, Texas, with a ceremony at First Baptist Church followed by a reception at Ridgewood Country Club. The sophisticated venue made sense to Kaitlynn and Ty, who have memories growing up there—plus, Kaitlynn’s parents had their reception there too. With the help of designer and florist Thee Design Wedding & Events by Denise Harlan, they decorated the ballroom with lush florals paired with mixed metallics for a modern spin on their timeless theme. Peach garden roses accented all parts of the day, from Kaitlynn’s lush bouquet to the five-tier wedding cake by Cakes by Gwyndene, which had lace detailing for a sweet Southern touch. But the family details are what really reflected Kaitlynn and Ty. Kaitlynn’s father gave a heartfelt toast and recounted their story (they’ve known each other since they were kids), her brother performed “Stand by Me” solo during the ceremony, and the groom’s cake reflected Ty’s favorite hobby: fishing. See the details captured by Ashley Munn Photography, below.

Thee Design Wedding & Events by Denise Harlan created this soft, textured bouquet for Kaitlynn that embodied her romantic wedding theme. It had peach David Austin garden roses with silver brunia, white hydrangeas and dusty miller.
Kaitlynn's bridesmaids wore strapless slate dresses that had a fitted ruched bodice and a floor-length skirt. They each carried a bouquet of peach David Austin garden roses, silver brunia and white hydrangeas to accent the palette.
Rachel Kent at Salon Bellezza styled Kaitlynn's half-up hairstyle with soft romantic waves that pulled back to highlight her earrings. Kimberly Cutler Professional Makeup added a little drama around Kaitlynn's eyes, and kept the rest of her makeup natural.
Kaitlynn and Ty's flower girl couldn't have been cuter! She wore a white dress with lace-cap sleeves and a full tulle skirt, with a baby's breath flower crown to top off her sweet style.
Silver metallic candelabras added a modern twist to Kaitlynn and Ty's classic reception at Ridgewood Country Club in Waco, Texas. Colorful flowers, including peach David Austin garden roses, green hydrangeas and coral roses, dotted each table.
Cakes by Gwyndene created a five-tier confection with lace detailing to evoke the timeless theme. It had a cascade of peach David Austin garden roses to enhance the romance.
Needless to say, Kaitlynn's Sottero and Midgley lace wedding dress was a stunner. The fit-and-flare gown had an intricate lace overlay with beading, cutout shoulder straps and a chapel-length train, which she paired with a sheer chapel-length veil.
