A Classic Wedding at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Michigan

For their destination wedding in northern Michigan, newlyweds Lydia (28 and a project coordinator) and Brad (40 and a project coordinator) chose Mackinac Island's historic Grand Hotel. "The hotel has such a long history with a great ambience, impeccable service and beautifully-decorated guest rooms," the bride says. Their traditional, outdoor ceremony was held on the hotel's famous porch complete with white columns, an ornate turquoise ceiling and stunning views of the Mackinac Bridge. After exchanging vows, Lydia and Brad celebrated with friends and family with a champagne toast followed by an elegant luncheon inside. "We passed out local fudge as wedding favors and took a horse carriage ride around the island afterwards," the bride explains. "With the lilac in bloom in June, the island really was the perfect scenic space to celebrate."
