A Classic Wedding at The Lodge at Bridal Veil Falls in Spring Branch, Texas
One autumn evening, Haley VanderMate (21 and a student) and Joseph Staley (25 and a professional athlete) went for a romantic sunset walk through Joseph’s family property that ended in a trail of gift-filled pumpkins. Joseph took the box out of the last pumpkin, got down on one knee, opened the box to reveal a princess cut ring and asked Haley to marry him. Haley and Joseph got married at The Lodge at Bridal Veil Falls in Spring Branch, Texas, with the triple waterfall as the backdrop of their outdoor ceremony. “I wanted everything to be glizty, so I had lots of glittery details,” says the bride, who decorated with a neutral champagne and cream color palette for a classic, glamorous style. The couple had an open wine bar for the adults, but made sure to include something special for the kids. From the bride: “One special thing that I had wanted to do even before I got engaged was to have milk in champagne glasses with cookies over the tops for the kids. I thought it was such a cute thing to do!”
