A Classic Wedding at Valley Green Inn in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Kaleigh Meyer (25 and a mental-health therapist) and Brian Watson (26 and in the US Coast Guard) brought classic elegance to their woodsy wedding at Valley Green Inn in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Because their venue was located in Wissahickon Valley Park, they were able to have a gorgeous, outdoorsy ceremony against a backdrop of a creek nestled in the woods. To mark the altar, Kaleigh and Brian put up a wedding arch draped with sheer fabric and decorated with pink peonies (Kaleigh's favorite). The ceremony was beautiful: To incorporate Brian's son, Brady, into the nuptials, Kaleigh's stepfather drew a portrait of the soon-to-be family and had it etched onto a wooden puzzle for the unity ceremony. The puzzle had four pieces to represent Kaleigh, Brian, Brady and Kaleigh and Brian's future children. The reception took place indoors. The reception tables echoed the ceremony decor, with centerpieces of pink peonies and roses. Kaleigh's bridesmaids also carried bouquets of pink peonies with their navy lace bridesmaid dresses, and Kaleigh carried a bouquet made up entirely of blush peonies. The texture of the flowers perfectly matched her stunning mermaid-style wedding dress, which featured intricate lace details and an illusion neckline. Because Brian is in the Coast Guard, he opted to wear his uniform for the wedding. "We wanted to be able to look back at our wedding pictures with our children one day and have them see their daddy in his uniform," Kaleigh says.
