A Classic White and Blue Wedding at Vibiana in Los Angeles, California

This classic winter-inspired wedding came to life in a color palette of sapphire blue and pearl through white flower arrangements of orchids, hydrangeas and baby’s breath combined with the warm glow of candles illuminating the space. Stephanie Chiang (26 and a neurosurgery/stroke nurse at UCLA) and Ken Kim (26 and an entrepreneur) booked the Vibiana, a historic building that was the first Archdiocese Catholic cathedral in Los Angeles, California. “We loved how Vibiana was able to capture the historical grandeur of 19th-century architecture and also provide a contemporary venue, complete with modern amenities,” Stephanie says. The ceremony took place in the main hall of the venue, where aisles were lined with tall glass vases filled with baby’s breath on white pillars, captured by Georgia Yeh Photography. Stephanie’s ceremony wedding dress was a one-shoulder ivory gown that was accented in floral, beaded appliques trailing from the strap all the way down the bodice. The same space where the ceremony was held was transformed into the reception with round and long dining tables decorated in accents of blues and whites, thanks to the help of A Classic Touch Events. We especially loved the wedding favors of bottled hot chocolate powder with candy pearls that guests took home as reflection of the winter-themed occasion. “At the end of the day, what is most important to us is that our guests had a great time,” Stephanie says. “Our wedding wouldn’t have been a special occasion without our loved ones to celebrate with.”
