Classic with a modern twist—and full of personality—was how Faith Ellis (25 and a hair stylist) and Jackson Ellis (31 and a musician) designed their Austin, Texas, wedding. Faith’s favorite part of the day was the ceremony: They said “I do” in the white chapel at Hyde Park Presbyterian Church, decorated with a backdrop of greenery wreaths by Rosehip Flora to enhance the wintery ambience. “The power of love I felt in our ceremony was like nothing else, and having all our friends and family there surrounding us will be something I am forever grateful for,” Faith says. Later, Illuminated by crystal chandeliers and a tree covered in string lights, their clear-tented courtyard reception at the Allan House turned into an epic celebration. Guests enjoyed a family-style dinner at rustic farm tables covered in eclectic decor and organic wintery flowers. One of Faith and Jackson’s favorite bands, the Preservation, performed throughout the reception and kept the dance floor moving well past their first dance to “I Will” by the Beatles. Another local touch? Faith and Jackson had craft beer, made by an Austin brewery just for their wedding. “The constant sound of glasses toasting, conversation and laughter at our reception was such a delight to hear,” Faith says. Pure in Art Photography captured the sweet moments, below.

Faith's ivory bridal peep-toe heels matched the color of her dress perfectly. The bow embellishments continued the style of the petal appliques on the dress too.
Faith emphasized to her florist, Rosehip Flora, that she wanted her flowers and greenery to feel wintery and lush. Her bouquet completely embodied her vision, with a variety of greens, deep reds, purples, blush and cranberry hues with pops of white to evoke the season.
Jackson wore a gray suit with a red knit tie. His boutonniere had a single red rose with greenery, with a red velvet boutonniere wrap to complete his winter style.
Faith found her dress at Unbridaled, a shop that prides itself on fitting each bride with the ideal dress. "That place fit my personality perfectly," Faith says. She found an A-line fitted gown covered in petals, each embellished with a pearl, that covered the length of her dress, which she paired with a cathedral-length veil.
For Faith and Jackson's ceremony backdrop, Rosehip Flora created organic wreaths of winter greenery to evoke the season without detracting from the classic beauty of Hyde Park Presbyterian Church. A garland of olive branches decorated the chapel entrance.
Faith's favorite moment of the day? “One of the special moments was my dad walking me down the aisle and then marrying Jackson and me,” Faith says.
The reception took place under a clear tent in the courtyard at the Allan House in Austin, Texas, with crystal chandeliers overhead and a tree covered in string lights creating a soft glow. Having farm tables were a must for Faith, who wanted her reception to feel like a huge family dinner.
The farm tables hosted mismatched china flatware and colorful goblets at each place setting. Centerpieces included winter flower arrangements in rich purple, red, blush and white hues with greenery, metallic vases and mercury glass votives.
Faith and Jackson's cake embodied their style: It had a classic bride and groom cake topper, but the rustic naked cake style decorated with winter greenery and flowers conveyed their personal tastes.
