A Classic Winter Wedding at the St. Charles Convention Center in St. Charles, Missouri

Jennifer Green (30 and a pharmacist) and John Miner (31 and a travel agent) met online. After dating for four years, John proposed. They went to the St. Louis Zoo for a Valentine’s Day dinner. “On the walk to the car after dinner, John stopped on a pedestrian bridge, claiming the need to tie his shoe,” Jennifer says. “When he came up, he had the ring in his hand.”Jennifer and John wanted a Christmas wedding though being too blunt with the theme. So, they chose untraditional Christmas colors and brought in winter wonderland-theme with the details. The color palette was blue, purple and green with silver accents. The invitation suite looked like it was snowing, the escort cards were accented with snowflakes and they gave guests Christmas ornament favors. The best part was the menu! From the Bride: “We had an open bar that was serving chocolate martinis as our signature drink,” she says. “Our reception food was very important to us. Our menu consisted of a winter salad followed by a duel entree of florentine chicken and London broil served with vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes.”
