Memorial Chapel at the University of Maryland was the perfect venue for Britni Cunningham (23 and a teacher) and James Kirker's (23 and an engineer) wedding. Britni and James are Terrapins, and Britni used to be a campus tour guide. Plus, Britni's graduation was at Memorial Chapel. "It was an easy decision to book the campus chapel," she says. "It's gorgeous and meaningful." As a nod to Britni's love of all things Disney, she and James chose a palette inspired by "Beauty and the Beast" for their summer wedding. "Our main flowers were yellow roses, inspired by Belle's awesome ball gown," Britni says. These yellow roses made up the bridal party's bouquets, which also included white hydrangeas and white freesias. The bright yellow flowers were also incorporated into James's boutonniere. Britni designed all the wedding stationery, which included a pretty yellow rose motif to tie into the wedding theme. To contrast with all the yellow details, Britni chose cobalt blue dresses (that matched the Beast's suit) for her bridesmaids. After a bubble recessional at the chapel, Britni, James and their guests headed to the Bethesda Marriott in Bethesda, Maryland, for the reception, where they danced to music provided by Crow Entertainment and feasted on a delicious butter rum cake. Britni designed the wedding stationery herself. She used a pretty yellow rose motif to decorate the borders of the paper goods.

Britni's dress was an A-line Casablanca Bridal gown with straps and beading in the bodice. She accessorized with a pearl necklace and an embellished headband. She wore her hair in a chignon and paired her dress with an elbow-length veil for the ceremony.
Britni's bridesmaids wore knee-length dresses in royal blue. To contrast with their dresses, they carried yellow rose and white freesia bouquets.
Britni and James had their ceremony at University of Maryland's Memorial Chapel in College Park, Maryland. As they exited, guests blew bubbles at them.
As wedding favors, Britni and James filled small yellow boxes with chocolate and tied them closed with white ribbon.
At the reception, Britni repurposed her yellow rose bouquet as a centerpiece by placing it in a glass vase.
The top tier of the white wedding cake was elevated by little pillars. The cake was decorated with piping, yellow roses and white freesias. The cake table was also scattered with yellow rose petals. The cake was flavored butter rum with raspberry ganache—yum!
