Linsey (33 and a market researcher) originally met Mark (33 and a software developer) at the University of South Carolina but didn't reconnect until six years after they both graduated and moved back to Charleston. Their first date was on a trip to Cancun Mexico and Mark proposed to Linsey on another trip—this time in South Africa. "He proposed on the beach at the Cape of Good Hope and we were the only ones there!" says Linsey. "We wanted a ring that would remind us of South Africa, so we picked out a beautiful one set in a protea—their national flower—while we were there," says Linsey.  This gorgeous couple are transplants living on John's Island... They love the absolute beauty of low country and decided to capture the essence of the holy city and Sullivan's Island during their engagement shoot and get married at the Citadel Beach House on Isle of Palms. We are fortunate to have been the ones chosen to document their beautiful day... With loving friends and family and the largest bridal party we have seen yet, we present to you the engagement and wedding photos of Linsey & Mark.

Beachside J.Crew Wedding Dress
Mark proposed on the beach during a trip to South Africa. "We wanted a ring that would remind us of SA, so we picked out a beautiful one set in a protea—their national flower—while we were there," says Linsey.
Linsey purchased the first dress she liked online and it ended up fitting perfectly.
The plaid bow ties matched the bride's aqua earrings and popped against their colorful Calla Lilly boutonnieres.
Beachy Strapless J.Crew Wedding Gown
Linsey carried a vibrant bouquet of deep red and purple Calla Lilies.
The bridesmaids wore red, pink and purple dresses from J.Crew. "All of the dresses and suits were from J.Crew because we didn't want to spend a ton of time shopping," says Linsey.

"We had an amazing local band Entropy Ensemble, played songs from our favorite band, Radiohead!" says Linsey.
Linsey wore a long ivory dress and went barefoot during the beach ceremony and then changed into boots for the reception when it got colder.

"Since we love to travel, we initially wanted a destination wedding," says Linsey. "But since we live in Charleston, a
gorgeous destination on its own, we decided on a local wedding!"
