A Colorful Golf Course Wedding at La Cantera Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas

Joanna Lockhart (32 and a sales and marketing professional) and Tim Lecholop (30 and a supply-chain professional) love to play golf, so tying the knot on a golf course was a no-brainer. "We really enjoy sitting on the back porch at our Dallas home, so we wanted to bring that to life at our wedding," Joanna says. With this in mind, they settled on an "elegant garden glam" theme for their San Antonio, Texas, wedding at La Cantera Resort & Spa. The day's vibrant color scheme of watermelon, kelly green and gray was inspired by San Antonio's annual Fiesta, which was the week before Joanna and Tim's wedding. "Many of our guests were flying in from out of town, so it was important to us that they experienced a taste of the San Antonio culture," Joanna says. Although a rain storm forced the couple to move the ceremony to a tent from the golf course, Joanna and Tim still squeezed in some photos on the green before moving to the tent for dinner and dancing. Advice from Joanna: "While you want the day to be perfect—and it will be—don't sweat the small stuff. At the end of the day, you are the one with the master plan. If things don't go quite as planned, it's OK. Your guests won't know. I promise!" —Meghan Overdeep
