A Colorful, Intimate Wedding at Poco Diablo Resort in Sedona, Arizona
With the beautiful mountains and trees of Red Rock State Park in the backdrop and the spiritual connection Aimee Blackman (34 and a cosmetology educator) and Eric Blackman (37 and a quality control inspector) feel in Sedona, Arizona, their wedding at Poco Diablo Resort was picture perfect. “Not only was it our dream to be married in Sedona, where we went on our first trip together, but how could you not want to be married in one of the most beautiful places in the world?” Aimee says. She wore a stunning ball gown, customized by Gemma’s Fashions and Sewing, who added a hand-beaded bolero to her romantic look. Bliss Extraordinary Floral created a bold purple bouquet for Aimee and smaller white and green arrangements for the bridesmaids. The special day included Aimee and Eric’s closest family and friends, including their five children, who also got to take part in the sand-pouring unity tradition during the ceremony. Another special moment? Aimee and Eric’s first dance to “Amazed” by Lonestar. “That was the first moment I had alone with my husband in the whole busy day, and it felt like we were the only ones in the room,” Aimee says. Her best advice: “The day goes by so fast, so make sure you get the best photographer you can to capture every moment, make sure to check all vendor references and, most important, relax and enjoy every minute.” See the prettiness, captured by Love My Life Photography, below.
