Ellie’s Mexican roots were the main inspiration for the day’s décor as well as the menu. Colorful woven table runners straight from Mexico made the tabletops pop, and tacos and authentic Mexican drinks stole the show at dinner. In lieu of a traditional seating chart, the couple wrote the name of each guest on cards attached to bottles of Jarritos, a popular Mexican soft drink brand. Upbeat Latin music was a big hit with guests and kept the dance floor packed all night long. “We wanted to make it feel like a true fiesta,” Ellie says.

Bold florals—a quirky mix of textured wildflowers and classic blooms like Athena peonies, ranunculus and roses—were the centerpiece of the soiree, seamlessly tying together all of the eye-catching elements.

One of the couple’s favorite moments of the day was when they snuck off after the ceremony to soak up all the excitement. “During this time, we read our personal vows that we had written. It was really special because no one else was there and that moment was truly ours,” Ellie says.
