A Colorful Vintage Garden Wedding at The Cypress Grove Estate House in Orlando, Florida

Juliana Acosta (31 and in communications) and Scott Cornelison (45 and an operations executive) met through work and became engaged once Scott went through three rings and five proposal plans. After a few mishaps with the jeweler, he went down on one knee in Vero Beach, Florida and popped the question with a round-cut diamond ring surrounded by a diamond halo. They spent the next 16 months planning a pink, plum and lavender accented outdoor wedding at the first venue they visited, The Cypress Grove Estate House. “Our color palette was inspired by the amazing sunrises and sunsets we experienced at our prior home in Orlando,” says Juliana. Photos of Antelope Canyon by Peter Lik also influence their wedding. The outdoor ceremony was accented with lines of chiavari chairs, moss pomanders accented with roses along the aisle and white fabric draped atop the arch. After Juliana and Scott said “I do,” thier 90 guests enjoyed an outdoor cocktail hour that included mini crab cakes and seasonal beefsteak. Each friend and family member found his or her seat in the clear tented reception among round textured linen-covered tables accented with ornate framed floral table numbers, neutral chiavari chairs, neutral vintage lounge furniture and tall pink and lavender floral centerpieces.   Juliana and Scott treated their guests to a plated meal, cupcakes accented with silver and lavender as well as a two-tier wedding cake decorated with pink and purple sugar flowers. For future couples, Juliana shares: “Make time to be alone together leading up to the wedding day. Even though everything may be hectic, stealing away for little moments can be priceless.”
