Tiny gift tag escort cards hung from a huge board with handmade initials made by Kristin's father.
A tag with Hip Hip Hooray! written on it was attached to the silverware. Everything for our wedding was DIY, from the kraft paper stationer that I designed to the pastel ribbon wall, as well as the hand-stamped napkins for our relaxed place settings, says Kristy.
The couple had a total of five cakes and a large assortment of desserts like macarons, cookies and churros.
Kristin's jewel leaf headband perfectly complemented her loose updo.
I knew I wanted to use tissue paper flowers for our centerpieces, and we had just had an ice storm at home that knocked down a bunch of trees, Kristy recalls. We gathered 22 logs and cleaned them; Mike drilled holes in them and cut them to size; and then I spent a month making the flowers to go in the log bases.
Jars of aguas frescas were displayed on a colorful table runner for the cocktail hour.
The guest book was displayed on a vintage dresser, with colorful ribbons hanging behind it. A small chalkboard sign provided a hashtag for guests to post pictures on Instagram.
Kristin handmade the invitations from kraft paper. Pops of color in within the text added a whimsical touch to the invitations.
The afternoon ceremony took place downstairs in the firehouse in front of bright windows and a flower-wall backdrop. I spent two months making paper flowers while my dad and Mike constructed the wall, Kristy says.
Large tissue paper flowers made by Kristin's mother decorated the ceremony site.
A beautifully painted sign was made for the Gomez family, with a list of cities of where all the family members resided at the bottom.
Flavored popcorn was available to guests during the cocktail hour.
The cocktail hour featured colorful cups for guests to sip aguas frescas. The display was decorated by more handmade paper flowers.
