A Country Barn Wedding at Renyer's Pumpkin Farm in Wetmore, Kansas
Jessica Kramer (28 and a real estate agent) and Jeff Kramer (30 and a HVAC journeyman) met at work. “Jeff approached me and asked me if I wanted to go on a motorcycle ride with him,” Jessica says. “I declined. After asking around about him, I changed my mind. Three and a half years later, he proposed on Valentine's Day with a gorgeous ring.” The couple easily chose Renyer's Pumpkin Farm for its country feel with the red barn, shoe tree and, of course, pumpkin patch. The shoe tree started in 1985 when John Kissel started nailing shoes to the tree, which served as a fun backdrop to the outdoor wedding. Jessica and Jeff wanted their wedding to be as comfortable, fun and country as they are. Inspired by the colorful wildflower bouquets, the couple used shades of yellow, pink, orange and blue throughout the details. They completed the look with burlap and lace for a soft, but rustic feel. They had a BBQ dinner with homemade sides and an open bar. The best entertainment of the night was when Jeff stole the show singing “Forever and Ever, Amen” by Randy Travis to Jessica.
