A Country-Chic Barn Wedding at Santa Margarita Ranch in Santa Margarita, California
Allie Covarrubias (38 and manager in sales recruiting) and Greg Clapp (42 and sales vice president) wanted to play up natural elements to help shape their country-chic wedding, which came alive on the beautiful farmland at Santa Margarita Ranch in Santa Margarita, California. To complement the natural vibe Allie and Greg envisioned, they picked a neutral palette with pops of color seen mostly through the yellow, white, red and orange flowers—from arrangements on top of wooden barrels, to the high and low centerpieces on dining tables. The ceremony took place at the wooden pavilion on the property, where white, red and green pomanders dangled above seated friends and family. Allie and Greg exited in an elegant white carriage pulled by a horse to the barn reception, where long white-covered dining tables seated guests for the evening's meal. And with an entire sweets table for guests to take—along with a delicious-looking wedding cake that stood five tiers tall—no stomach was left hungry. Of all the rustic details, we fell in love with Allie's wedding dress fit for a princess—a beautiful ivory gown with a mermaid style and a skirt that flared out in several layers of tulle. "The wedding is reflective of us as a couple in that it wasn't hard to bring together," Allie says. "Greg and I both have opinions, but they seem to mesh well."
