A Country-Chic Ranch Wedding at Thistle Springs Ranch in Cleburne, Texas

Alex Wilson (25 and a nurse) and Ross McMillan (27 and an engineer) met through a common friend while attending Texas Tech University. After not seeing each other for several months, they reconnected in a grocery store and began dating shortly after. They dated for five years (three of which were long-distance) before Ross popped the question during a weekend in Fort Worth, Texas. Alex and Ross were married in a ceremony that beautifully fused vintage, country and romantic details. They tied in our their rustic ranch venue with a mixture of country and vintage finds, as well as softer touches with lacy, light fabrics and neutral tones. "It was a perfect mix of both my and Ross's tastes," Alex says. "Ross favors country, so we had cowhide rugs, antlers and leather couches, as well as other touches of country throughout. I tend to favor more vintage and romance, which was carried out with our table decor, signs around the venue, mismatched china and many other details." The couple had their first dance to "Lonely East TX Nights" by Whiskey Myers. "The song means a lot to us," Alex says. "We used to listen to it on repeat in college, and it applied to our lives in a long-distance relationship." —Meghan Overdeep
