A Country Chic Wedding at a Private Residence in Millersville, Pennsylvania
Amelia Barley (22 and an ingredient division analyst) and Michael Lewgood (23 and an engineer) met at Penn State, when they both attended a BBQ hosted by the apartment complex they both lived in. They were friends for a year before they began dating. After Mike moved away to Texas for his job, their relationship grew stronger, and Mike proposed to Amelia during a visit to her family farm, overlooking the Susquehanna River. They decided to hold their wedding where they were engaged, at Amelia's parents' farm in Millersville, Pennsylvania. Amelia and Nick's country chic wedding was rustic and fun. With the help of the event planners at The Perfect Plan, they had a beautiful outdoor ceremony by the river and a cozy barn reception. The ceremony aisle was denoted by a vintage barn door frame and hanging mason jars with thistles and baby's breath, and a wooden arch decorated with sunflowers and pink aster stood at the altar. The barn, which was illuminated by string lights, featured long farmhouse tables with burlap runners, and centerpieces of colorful wildflowers and baby's breath in lace covered mason jars on wood slabs. Scrumptious treats at the reception included a popcorn bar and a dessert table with an explosion of cupcakes. Amelia and Mike ended their playful and romantic wedding with a blueberry wedding cake with lemon filling and buttercream frosting decorated with lace piping and wildflowers.
