A Country Ranch Wedding at a Private Residence in Bailey, Colorado
Once Rachel Romer (27 and the founder of an education startup) and David Carlson (28 and works in health care leadership) were engaged, it didn't take them long to know where they wanted to get married. Rachel's family's ranch in Bailey, Colorado, has been in the family since the 1960s and they have so many great memories there. It was absolutely perfect! Rachel and David exchanged vows in Rachel's favorite meadow before heading to a tented reception next to the original 1890s barn, and they even had the after-party inside the barn improved by a dance floor that David's father build for the occasion. The Romer Ranch, with its natural vistas and charming vibe, inspired all the decor. Shades of blue, gray and white colored all the details and pops of red added some boldness. Wood, baby's breath and burlap fit the rustic theme and brought all the details together for the shabby-chic soiree. One of our favorite details was New York Times columnist David Brooks, who officiated the ceremony. Although they had never met him, they were huge fans, and when he responded to their "intellectual love letter," they were so excited.
