A Country, Rustic-Chic Wedding at Canopy Creek Farms in Miamisburg, Ohio

We felt right at home inside the barn of this rustic-chic wedding, set on Canopy Creeks Farm in Miamisburg, Ohio, that was a familiar environment to the country-rooted couple. After booking the venue, Amy Mack (22 and a front office coordinator) and Andy Naylor (22 and a hardwood floorer) searched for a ceremony location that would smoothly transition into the reception, and came across Memorial United Methodist Church in West Carrollton, Ohio, that embodied a traditional look through its classic woodwork and deep red carpeting. Mintwood Photo Co. captured Amy walking down the aisle lined with baby's breath in her ivory wedding dress, with a lace overlay and capped sleeves by Allure Bridals--the same designer of Andy's light gray suit. After the ceremony was let out, the couple and their guests traveled the short distance to Canopy Creeks Farm, where DIY decorations dominated the space—from the vintage leather suitcase that held gift cards to the glass mason jars used as drinking cups and black chalkboard table markers. For the reception, we loved that Amy traded in light blue heels that she wore at the ceremony for some beige-colored Converse sneakers, which complemented Andy’s black pair and reflected their fun, relaxed personalities. "We went for a laid-back, country theme for the wedding because we wanted something comfortable and homey," Amy says. "Breathe and take your time. Your wedding day will fly by, so slow down and just be in the moment."?“One of the things that we knew had to be included in the wedding was a little humorous surprise before we sealed the deal with a kiss,” Amy says. “In our wedding programs, we included a short story about how our relationship all began: with a high five. Right as Andy's grandfather said, "you may now kiss the bride" we gave an awkward high five and of course a kiss to follow. Everyone in the church got a good laugh.”
