A Country, Rustic Wedding at a Private Residence in Hemet, California

Cowboy boots were a must at this rustic, country wedding. When Kristen Wright (29 and an occupational therapist) and Nick Sisko (28 and a drilling supervisor) realized they wanted to have their wedding outside, Kristen’s family had just purchased property in Hemet, California, with nothing but land, which was perfect for the occasion. The yellow, lavender, tan and ivory color palette was reflected within the wedding party attire, from the yellow lace bridesmaid dresses to the gray vests with ivory-collared shirts worn by the groomsmen, creating a semiformal feel (paired with their favorite cowboy boots, of course). It was all captured on camera by Sarah Dupree Photography. The cocktail hour and reception took place under a white tent, with accents of burlap, twine, mason jars and market lights decorating the space that complemented the casual, rustic vibe, thanks to the help with planning from Life of the Party SD. Among the several DIY pieces that Nick created himself, our favorite has to be the bar made with wooden panels and a backdrop with a sign that read "Palomino Saloon." “My husband built a very large wooden bar out of palettes and a large backdrop out of old distressed wood from an old fence,” Kristen says. “In addition, he built a self-serve beer bar for two kegs and a wooden door entryway for the ceremony.”
