Cactus Creek Barn in Dickson, Tennessee, is the picture of country rustic: This picturesque venue offers lush, tree-covered grounds, a wooden reception barn and even horses. That’s why it was a perfect match for the wedding Leah Neeley (25 and an ophthalmic technician) and Dean Hamel (28 and an aircraft maintenance technician) had always envisioned. Their celebration began with an outdoor ceremony next to a creek, where they said “I do” surrounded by 200 of their friends and family members. A reception followed on the patio and inside the barn, where everyone dined on delicious Tennessee barbecue and kicked up their cowboy boots to country music by Cosmo Creations. So many details were DIY, from the hand-painted burlap aisle runner to the floral arrangements, and even cornhole lawn games inspired by Leah and Dean’s family football rivalries. One of Leah’s favorite details was the wedding cake: She found the rustic design online, and her baker matched it perfectly. But the highlight of Leah and Dean’s wedding day was simply being surrounded by the people they love in a setting that reflected their personalities and relationship. “We wanted our guests to be able to let loose in a casual environment and enjoy themselves,” Leah says. “Country living is good for the soul.” Justin Wright Photography captured all the pretty details of their wedding day. See below.

Leah looked radiant in her white trumpet-style dress. It had a strapless ruches drop-waist bodice, an embellished belt and lace appliques on the skirt. She wore a sheer waist-length veil with ivory lining, which she fastened to her elegant bridal updo.
The owners of Cactus Creek Barn, Connie and Ken, greeted Leah and Dean with open arms. Their kindness, combined with the barn, the horses, the creek and all the beautiful details, sold the couple on having their wedding there.
Leah carried a pink and white bouquet of peonies, spray roses and baby's breath wrapped in burlap and lace. She attached a photo of her mother, who had recently died, to her bouquet wrap to keep her close.
For one of her many DIY wedding projects, Leah painted a favorite Bible verse on her burlap aisle runner, which lay on the grass for her outdoor ceremony.
Leah and Dean couldn't have picked a more naturally beautiful spot for their outdoor ceremony overlooking a creek. They got married under a wooden wedding arch covered in greenery, with a bundle of white hydrangeas and pink roses at the top. Rustic wooden barrels on each side of the arch held loose white and pink floral arrangements.
Bundles of baby's breath lined the aisle at Leah and Dean's outdoor ceremony. Pink ribbons on the wooden folding chairs and aisle decorations added a pop of color, as well as a nod to Leah's mother.
Leah's bridesmaids wore short, strapless neutral dresses with lace details, and carried all-white hydrangea bouquets. Cowboy boots completed their country-inspired styles.
Even the flower girl channeled the country rustic theme. She wore a frilly tiered dress with lace details and cowboy boots, just as the bridal party did. A pink peony headband added a sweet touch.
String lights, paper lanterns and a chandelier enhanced the romantic vibe inside the rustic wooden barn, which included a rectangular farm table as the head table, burlap-covered round dining tables and a dance floor.
The head table was covered in burlap with a lace table runner. Wooden and wicker baskets of white and pink flowers with greenery softened the rustic table setting.
The round dining tables had burlap tablecloths with floral centerpieces in natural wood vases. Wooden folding chairs matched the rustic interior of the wooden barn.
Leah and Dean's reception took place on the patio as well as inside the rustic wooden barn at Cactus Creek Barn in Dickson, Tennessee. Guests dined on Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q: think chicken or pork with macaroni and cheese, potatoes with gravy and cheese biscuits!
Leah and Dean's three-tier cake was covered in textured buttercream frosting with burlap floral accents for a rustic touch. A wooden cake stand with "Love is sweet" written on it completed the country cake display.
