Caity Lewis (25 and an administrative assistant) and Lance Lewis (25 and a bank manager) met through a close mutual friend, and quickly realized that their relationship was different from any other. After eight months, they had bought their first house together, and a few months later they were wedding planning! When searching for venues around their native Central Alberta, they were unable to find exactly what they were looking for, so the couple began dreaming of a beach wedding. The Azul Sensatori Resort by Karisma Hotels was perfect, with its beach views and family-friendly atmosphere. The couple settled on yellow and gray as the color palette for their casual wedding to accent the white sand and ocean background. The couple’s favorite part of the wedding was the outdoor reception captured by Talia Unger. According to Caity: “Neither of us had ever experienced a beach wedding, and spending an evening dancing under the stars with our family and closest friends is something that we will never, ever forget. We were lucky enough to have spent almost a week with our guests at the resort before our wedding day arrived, so the day itself was truly a celebration for the two of us.”

The bride’s bouquet was composed of tropical flowers in white and yellow with accents of greenery throughout.
The couple's wedding ceremony took place right on the beach in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

The bridesmaids wore yellow dresses in styles they chose for a laid-back, casual style. Their bouquets were smaller versions of the bride's tropical bouquet.
Caity wore an Ella Rosa strapless wedding dress with a sweetheart neckline and an embellished belt with a tiered organza skirt.
The couple kept their decor simple, as both their ceremony and reception were outdoors. They selected centerpieces of hurricane vases and white candles, with yellow tropical flower arrangements on each table. White paper lanterns hung over the tables to provide soft and romantic outdoor lighting.
