A Destination Wedding at The M Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada
While at a Christmas party, Morgan Edgar (28 and an HVAC mechanic) approached a friend of Kelle Hurd’s (27 and a medical student) to let her know he thought Kelle was beautiful but way out of his league. Intrigued, Kelle marched right up to her future husband and planted a huge kiss on his lips in front of everyone at the party. Eight months later, Morgan got down on one knee in the serenity of their home and asked for Kelle’s hand in marriage. Although the couple lives in Canada, they decided on a destination wedding at the M Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. “We absolutely did not want to have a traditional wedding,” says Kelle. “We wanted to have a big party with all of our favorite people and Vegas was the perfect place to do it.” Kelle and Morgan had an all-white wedding ceremony located around the main pool of The M Resort in Las Vegas just before sunset. Guests were greeted by a mariachi band who played the processional as well as cocktail hour. A 250-foot catwalk in the middle of the pool served as a dramatic and breathtaking aisle. The reception was held in the Ravello Lounge overlooking the Las Vegas Strip. “The views were breathtaking and the room was already decorated with purple, gold and silver furniture and accents that it hardly required any work,” says the bride. Following a Mexican-inspired dinner with churros for dessert, the couple wasted no time getting into the party with beats by DJ Harry O. The M Resort offered activities for guests to enjoy their weekend, including a wine tasting, pools, a casino, great restaurants and easy shuttle access to the Strip. “We wanted to make sure our guests had fun from the moment they landed in Vegas until the moment they left,” says Kelle.
