A Destination Wedding With a Modern Twist at a Private Residence in Surin, Thailand
This destination wedding with a modern style between Ketsanee Bloomfield (24 and a child care volunteer/translator for missionaries) and David Bloomfield (24 and a soils technician) may have been filled with Western traditions, but it took place in Surin, Thailand. "We got married in a church near Ketsanee's hometown in Thailand," David says. "Getting married in Thailand let her celebrate with people she wouldn't get to see for a long time." They both wore traditional Western wedding day attire, so Ketsanee picked out a strapless ivory wedding dress with a long train while David wore a classic tan suit and an ivory bow tie. Ketsanee added an elegant touch with crystal dangling earrings that matched her necklace, which tied in with the sparkling brooch on her cream-colored belt. The church ceremony aisle had white tulle along with white and green ribbon lining the sides, which led to the altar garnished in foliage and ivory blooms. At the private residence where the reception took place, friends and family signed a lovely pink guest book with a heart-shaped decoration made of roses on the front. Guests admired the photos of Ketsanee and David hanging by yellow and white balloon strings that decorated the space, showcasing their love for each other. "The pictures and little touches were all pretty good at capturing our moments together as a couple in the different stages of our relationship," David says.
