A Disney-Inspired Wedding at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa in Orlando, Florida
Lauren Spinnenweber (29 and a music teacher) and Miles McCready (23 and a claims examiner) met online and became engaged in their favorite spot, Disney World. ?Miles slipped a white-gold bow-shaped diamond engagement ring on her finger as they finished dinner at Ohana, a Polynesian restaurant. “Honestly, we were planning our wedding at Disney before Miles had even popped the question, and when we later realized that it was financially possible for us to have a Disney wedding, we were elated!” says Lauren. With the help of Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings, the couple worked to plan a whimsical wedding with a gray, silver and lilac color scheme. Their 10 a.m. ceremony was held in Disney’s Wedding Pavilion. Purple and white flower petals lined an aisle filled with heart-shaped cut outs at the end of each pew. After the couple said “I do,” Lauren, Miles and their 40 guests went into Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa for a brunch reception. The couple served an assortment of pastries, fruit and Mickey Mouse-shaped waffles before the character himself showed up for a surprise visit. Lauren and Miles danced with their guests to their DJ, Charles Miles, before continuing the celebration with a fireworks display and private dessert party. The couple had a donuts flamb? action station as well as ice cream, coffee, tea, and juice available for guests at the United Kingdom portion of Epcot. “It truly was the perfect end to a perfect day,” says Lauren.
