A DIY Bohemian Wedding at the Greenhouse at Driftwood in Driftwood, Texas

After Emily Pybus (24 and a graphic designer) accidentally stepped on Jonathan Cook’s (27 and an insurance agent) boot at their college homecoming, the couple's path to love was surefooted. On their wedding day at the Greenhouse at Driftwood in Driftwood, Texas, the couple celebrated their family and friends as much as their new union. “Overall, we just wanted the wedding to feel like a backyard party—no fuss, just fun with everyone we love,” says Emily, who designed the invitation suite, programs and menus. The day’s palette was mostly neutral: peach, navy and nude with touches of texture—like the wooden lapels on Jonathan's custom suit. “We really pulled from the botanical vibe of the greenhouse and brought that into all our design elements,” says Emily, who exchanged vows with Jonathan under the shade of a far-reaching oak tree on the venue's lush grounds. After the ceremony, their 250 guests sipped cocktails from monogrammed cups and enjoyed snacks from food trucks brought to the venue. “All the little things that you think have to happen—no one but you is going to know that they didn’t,” Emily says. “They are all there to celebrate you, and it will be a party no matter what.” —Carolyn Meers
