A DIY Ranch Wedding at Wiens Ranch in Sedalia, Colorado
For Seanee Mazone (30 and a nurse) and Jeremy Roberts (28 and a firefighter), a DIY wedding allowed them to create a beautiful, rustic celebration while staying family-focused. "By having our entire wedding DIY, most of our family and friends were able to participate in our wedding planning, which was really important to us," Seanee says. The resourceful group worked together to paint signs, design invitations and create the table markers, boutonnieres, bouquets and wooden centerpieces. Wiens Ranch in Sedalia, Colorado, provided the perfect location for the cowboy wedding. "When we finally toured the ranch, it was everything we had been looking for," Seanee says. "Our wedding was Western, rustic and cowboy-themed. It was inspired by who we are, our way of life and what we believe in." For the ceremony, Seanee wore a beautiful Saison Blanche Couture lace gown with Corral cowboy boots for a rustic touch. Jeremy matched the gray and pink color scheme in a gray suit and blush-colored tie from Frill Clothing. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with a whiskey bar and comfort food appetizers, like grilled cheese, fried pickles and tomato soup cups. Our favorite DIY touch? As a creative alternative to flowers, the couple created wheat bouquets and boutonnieres. All the day's DIY details were beautifully captured by J. La Plante Photo, below.
