A DIY, Rustic Wedding at Countryside Golf and Country Club in Naples, Florida
From desserts made with family recipes to their custom invitations, Jade Vergara (28 and a nurse practitioner) and Diego Vergara (28 and a real estate agent) worked with friends and family to make each detail of their rustic wedding for a sweet and personal twist. The couple took a first look before saying “I do” in a simple ceremony outside Jade’s family’s church. Their 140 guests then crossed the street for a sweet indoor reception, where every wooden sign, cup and centerpiece had a story behind it. Vintage cups, filled with succulents grown by Jade’s mother, were placed on a few tables while others were paired with white hydrangeas arranged by Jade and her mother that morning. For an added natural look, wooden slabs cut from the couple’s backyard were placed on each table and even used as signs for their dessert display. Lemon bars, pecan tarts, toffee cupcakes and blackberry cake were just a few of the sweets made by Jade’s aunts, grandmother and mother. “It meant so much to share family recipes with our guests,” Jade says. The couple’s wedding cake, baked by her aunt, stood out on a natural wooden base and complemented the couple’s rustic decor. Each of the three white layers were covered in a flower petal design as white hydrangeas and roses served as the topper. “Our love and dedication to family and friends certainly shined on this day,” Jade says. “We were so grateful to have such personal reflections of our two families coming together around us.” Enduring Impressions Photography captured these details and more, below.
