A DIY Wedding at the Magnolia House at Trilogy Orlando in Groveland, Florida

Felicia, 21, and Anthony's, 24, wedding details were a surprise to the groom and featured multiple elements created by their bridal party. As Anthony was stationed with the U.S. Navy in Connecticut, Felicia planned the more specific details of their wedding on-site in Florida. They picked their wedding colors and overall style of the wedding together. "We wanted something simple for the bridesmaids and groomsmen, we decided on a light pink and navy blue theme," says Felicia. The groomsmen wore gray slacks accented by blue ties. The bridesmaids wore light pink sleeveless dresses from Target. Majority of the remaining details were DIY. With the help of her bridesmaids and mother, Felicia created her bouquet, aisle decorations, garter, chocolate bar favors, reception candy bar, invitations and ceremony decor. The stage lights for the reception and mason jars for their floral arrangements were also borrowed. Felicia’s father had six small spotlights. After purchasing eighteen kitchen pod lights from Lowes, the lighting was complete. Their wedding was filled with personal and familial touches. "We smile and giggle and don't do serious very well, our wedding reflected all of that," says Felicia. Catered by their venue, the couple served their favorite foods at the reception. These included burgers, macaroni and cheese, salad and potatoes. Felicia and Anthony enjoyed an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception surrounded by their family and friends. The night ended with the couple exiting the reception under a sparkler arch held by their friends and family.
