A Dramatic Vintage-Inspired Wedding at Loring Pasta Bar in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Kristin Eden (38 and works with infusion therapy) and David Roers (38 and works in medical equipment supply chains) planned an eclectic, chic soiree for their early-October wedding in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In lieu of the expected ballroom or banquet hall, the fun-loving pair gathered their friends and family members at the Red Room at the Loring Pasta Bar for their intimate fall fete. “The venue held a lot of nostalgia for us,” Kristin says. “The room itself was already so beautifully decorated, so we only needed to add flowers.” The evening began with a ceremony in Loring’s Red Room. Modern classical music filled the air and twinkling fairy lights floated overhead as Kristin and David said their “I dos.” The newlyweds then invited their guests to join them in the venue’s Skybar for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while the Red Room was transformed for dinner. Upon their reentry into the room, guests were immersed into a dramatic, vintage-inspired scene. Ivory jacquard table linens gave way to silvery candelabras with flickering candlelight and fresh bunches of burgundy and white roses, dahlias and anemones. Ornate mirrors with regal, vintage appeal amplified the space’s old-world aesthetic, while adding visual drama to the decor. As a nod to their love of comic books, the couple even incorporated a few funky details throughout, including green lanterns and the tardis from "Doctor Who." —Libby MacCarthy
