A Fall-Inspired Wedding at the River Club in Suwanee, Georgia

Everything about Annslee Vess (24 and an administrative assistant) and Alex Vess's (23 and a building engineer) wedding felt like the fall, from the natural colors to the pumpkin decor and even the football (more on that later). Annslee quickly knew the River Club in Suwanee, Georgia, had the right combination of rustic and classic for her wedding style. After all, that’s where she always spends Christmas brunch with her family, so it was already close to home. A seasonal palette based on marsala (a trendy choice, since it’s the Pantone color of the year) beautifully contrasted the green lawn where Annslee and Alex said “I do.” Jars of Flowers helped incorporate Annslee’s favorite flowers, antique hydrangeas (you know, the pretty multicolored ones), into the bouquets and flower arrangements. For their reception, Annslee and Alex wanted the feel of a football Saturday with a hint of romance, so they had football playing on televisions while guests enjoyed a shrimp and grits bar, maple-covered bacon, fried chicken and classic Southern sides—laid-back and casual, just like Annslee and Alex’s style. A special detail? Annslee wore the same vintage lace wedding dress that's been in her family for three generations. See the beautiful details, captured by Kelly Lane Photography, below.
