A Formal Ballroom Wedding at The Old Courthouse in Cleveland, Ohio

Lisa Montgomery (29, an internal medicine resident physician) and Ryan Godinsky (30, a surgery resident physician) met while they were both attending

Lisa Montgomery (29, an internal medicine resident physician) and Ryan Godinsky (30, a surgery resident physician) met while they were both attending medical school. Lisa tried to find excuses to talk to Ryan and get to know him more, but easily got nervous around him. Ryan was under the impression that Lisa wasn’t interested, but when Lisa ran into Ryan one night at a bar, she may or may not have kissed him. From there on out, Lisa and Ryan knew they were meant to be. The couple spent a weekend in Cleveland, Ohio together when they both were off from work. They went out for a nice dinner, and when they got back to their hotel room Ryan said that he couldn’t find the key. As Lisa started to freak out, Ryan fished around in his pocket and pulled out a diamond ring instead. The Old Cleveland Courthouse served as the perfect venue to have their elegant, timeless wedding with a marble staircase, stained glass windows and wrap around balcony. The Gatsby-like color palette of black and white stripes with neutral colors accented in champagne glitter decorated the reception tablecloths, dinnerware and centerpieces. The main wedding cake was pumpkin spice with cream cheese frosting, with smaller cakes of chocolate with peanut butter icing and vanilla with salted caramel buttercream icing.
