A Formal, Elegant Wedding at the Royalton at Roslyn Country Club in Roslyn Heights, New York
The Royalton at Roslyn Country Club is a Long Island, New York, mansion that’s begging for a formal fete. Everything about it is regal and timeless, which worked perfectly for Krista Guterman (26) and Jason Oliver’s (31 and a restaurant owner) vision of a black-tie wedding. Their planner, L. Marie Events, helped them coordinate their black-and-white decor and made sure their fabulous day unfolded smoothly. Krista and Jason’s ceremony took place outdoors in a courtyard decorated with candelabras and an abundance of lush white blooms from Dalsimer Spitz and Peck Floral & Event Decorators. Krista’s processional was a moment she’ll never forget: Donning an ultra-feminine mermaid-style satin dress, she walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” According to Krista, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. After she and Jason exchanged vows, they walked into the ballroom, where more candles and flowers created an aura of elegance. For an extra-personal touch to their dinner menu, Krista and Jason designed every part of the three-course meal themselves. But the party didn’t stop after they cut their cake. In fact, it was just getting started. Krista and Jason surprised their guests with a Roaring Twenties after-party, complete with flappers passing around glitzy headpieces and champagne favors. Modern Wedding Photography captured it all, including a “walking table” that you just have to see to believe. Check it out, below.
