East Coast met West Coast in this Glenbrook, Nevada, wedding by Lake Tahoe to celebrate the union of New Yorkers Tiffany Chunat (31 and in project and facilities management) and Terry Lane (31 and in sports promotion). “We chose China Beach for the ceremony, which has a gorgeous grassy area that opens right onto the lake,” says the bride. “The cocktail hour and reception were at the Glenbrook Club, which is [within] walking distance and still has beautiful views of the lake.” The couple added to the natural beauty of Lake Tahoe with a color palette of Big Apple green, white and purple flowers that reminded the bride of her grandmother’s garden. The cake showcased the New York-meets-Lake Tahoe theme: The bottom tier was decorated with trees and mountains to represent the couple's upbringing in Nevada, and the top tier was decorated with the New York City skyline to represent where they have lived for 14 years. Tiffany explains the inspiration behind her wedding day: “We really thought about the experience of our guests from the variety and quality of food, the seating and layout and the timing of the ceremony and the reception,” says the bride. “We wanted it to feel like a fun party, and I think we achieved that. We also made sure that every aspect of the wedding reflected us -- the food, the music, the decor -- all favorites of ours of something that had a personal meaning to us.”

Tiffany wore a full lace A-line wedding dress by Augusta Jones with a sweetheart neckline. She added a hand-beaded pearl-and-crystal sash for extra glam at her formal wedding.
The flower girl and ring bearer dressed formally for the outdoor wedding. The ring bearer wore a classic black tuxedo, and the the flower girl donned a white dress with a ruffled organza skirt and purple floral accents.
The bride carried a white, purple and green bouquet, including white peonies and green viburnum. “The flowers were chosen because of a connection to my grandmother and what she grew in her yard,” says the bride.
Green chrysanthemum pomanders hung from hooks lining the aisle for a pop of bright green against the natural backdrop of the Lake Tahoe waterfront wedding ceremony.
The couple dreamed of a Big Apple wedding, but the bride’s recollections of summers and sunsets in Glenbrook, Nevada, brought the two to a destination wedding by Lake Tahoe. “There are few places that can compare to the beauty of Lake Tahoe,” says the bride.
The reception decor was centered on a clear tent to cover the deck so guests could see the stars. A crystal chandelier and hanging string lights hung in the tent and surrounding area. The couple had extra-long tables to make it feel like a family-style dinner.

The wedding cake was a true marriage of New York City and Lake Tahoe. “The bottom layer was decorated with mountain silhouettes to represent Nevada where we both grew up, and the top with the New York City skyline where we have lived for 14 years,” says the bride.
Table linens were ivory with green apple runners to add pops of color. Floral centerpieces matched the bridal party bouquets of white, purple and green flowers.
