Levi Hawkinson (writer and director) and Charlene Khalaf (Actress) met while Charlene was auditioning for a project that Levi was producing and directing. As the couple described it, she got the part and he got the girl. They started to date three months after initially meeting, and three months later, moved to California together. They dated for another six years until Levi proposed on their combined birthday and New Year’s Eve trip to San Francisco. As they were watching the fireworks over the San Francisco Bay Bridge, Levi proposed to Charlene, and so the wedding planning began. The couple had their wedding at Mr. C Hotel in Beverly Hills, California when they discovered its classic Hollywood feel that seemed to reflect them as a couple. Charlene wore a convertible Lazaro dress that originally made for the runway, with a detachable skirt that she wore for the ceremony and took off for the reception. Levi wore a Ted Baker Tuxedo, going for a more classic look complimented with satin chapels. The couple picked a color palette of red, black, white and dusty shale that was incorporated into the wedding, from their custom invitations to the wildflower party favors with thank you cards. “We feel like the whole wedding reflected us, and we were both really involved in every aspect of the planning,” says Charlene.
